Shakshuka Recipe: Middle Eastern Egg & Tomato

This special brunch recipe she said, she got from her father who grew up in Palestine. Shakshuka makes any Sunday the best brunch ever! She said,

"Baking and cooking has always had a special place in my heart. I started out baking in my teens and that extended into a love for cooking in adulthood. I create food that is nostalgic to me but with a healthier twist. Being in the kitchen simply makes me happy."

Ingredients for Shakshuka Recipe:

  • 6 eggs
  • 7 tomatoes
  • 3 tbs olive oil
  • 1 medium yellow onion
  • 1 medium sized bell pepper
  • 1 tbs tomato paste
  • 1 tbs red pepper paste
  • 1 ts cumin
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 tbs red pepper flakes
  • Chopped parsley or cilantro for garnishing
  • 1-2 tbs heavy cream
  • 1 ts garlic powder
  • 1 clove garlic

Preparation Time: 0.5 hr.

Serving Size: 3-4 people
